Our Story
This is my Lulu who I adopted back in 2009 from a shelter. She was my best friend and losing her to Hemangiosarcoma was devastating.
She was the most intelligent dog I had ever met. I adopted her as a companion for my senior dog, Spike and she became by Lil’ Bestie. She was the smartest dog I has ever met and she was just perfect. It was devastating to lose her. If you’ve ever had a dog with such a deep connection that you felt more like kindred spirits, then you understand what we had. It would be the last time I felt so helpless and guilty about losing one of my pets. I couldn’t figure out why this had happened. I was doing well and could finally afford the expensive dog food and flea/tick products and heartworm medications. I had her in for laser therapy and physical therapy for hip dysplasia and the best care available. It took the loss of a great love for me to find a better way. This is where The Love of Lulu HPHC started along with my journey into Holistic Pet Heath Care.
Hank
The Bonded Pair.
My Hank was a sick little dog who I rescued from the inner-city shelter. He barely had any fur and was only 27 lbs. when he should have been 60. Lulu gave him comfort and helped him heal and they soon became a bonded pair. When Lulu passed from Hemangiosarcoma, we were both struggling with her loss. A short time later Hank was diagnosed with a high grade 3 Mast Cell Cancer. This is where I started my research and found an article written by Dr. Ruth Roberts who had success with her own dog with Mast Cell. I found a way to feel more in control of Hank’s health through Nutrition and high-quality supplements along with Chinese herbal therapy. I wasn’t going to lose another one of my pack without putting up a fight. My efforts and research paid off and Hank lived 5 more quality years after his initial diagnosis.
This is why I became a Certified Holistic Pet Health Coach trained by Dr. Ruth Roberts. I have had experience since 2017 with her Protocols and I have had great success with my own pets. Now, I am trained to help guide Pet Parents and help them feel more in control of their own pet’s health.
